Soul Retrieval is a way to Grace.

Soul retrieval is a way to Grace. During a soul retrieval session you will release old soul contracts, thoughts and actions that no longer serve you. You will bring in an aspect of yourself that you lost during trauma in a past or present life. Energy cords will be cut from a previous or present life to move on and live your life to its fullest potential. Soul Retrieval teaches us to bring forth knowledge from the past and utilize the knowledge now in a positive way.

I decided to try Soul Retrieval because I was at a crossroads in my life. There were big decisions in my life and I was uncertain on how to proceed. I needed clarity. 

I had three sessions in a month. I felt great! I felt like I had more space and my life changed radically. 

What happens during Soul Retrieval? 

Before your session we will talk about what you want to improve or release. We will create a plan. 

What do you want to release? What do you want to gain? 

It is important to think about this.

Those are the big ones. 

A Soul Retrieval session consists of going back to the past life that affects you the most, making the correction, receiving the piece of yourself you gave up.

Then you move into the void, this is where we cut cords, clear your energy field, balance your chakras. 

When you move out of the void, you bring in an archetype that will strengthen you on all levels. 

I wrap you up in a nice healing blanket.

Depending on you, what you want to cover during your session, it can take 30min to an hour. 

Please do not do any recreational drinking or drugs 3 days before your session and three days after. 

People from your past may try to contact you. Don’t answer their calls. You do not want them re establishing any cording.  Rest, take care of yourself. 

The effects of Soul Retrieval are lasting. You will feel the effects in small and big ways.  Soul Retrieval is a way to grace and wisdom.

Our chakras, their health affect us in many ways. I wrote about chakra in I Am Psychic, Not Telepathic, Clearing with Purpose and the Love Book.  Check out my Chakra Meditation on my webpage or find one that resonates with you and practice it once a month. It will help you with healthy chakras. 

Here they are - 
Base/ Root Chakra - Foundation - This is the chakra that draws energy from the earth and moves it up through the chakras. 
Sacral Chakra - Creation - This is where we crate life, whether it is a person or creativity. 
Solar Plexus - The Will - What are you willing to do & How are you willing to do it? 
Heart Chakra - Love
Throat Chakra - Communication, speaking, listening, presence
Third Eye Chakra - What are you seeing, hearing, feeling, knowing intuitively?
Crown Chakra - Your connection to Source

Throughout our life and past live we make connections. Our chakras will reflect what we are carrying, energetically. 

Here is an example - 

Several women over the years wanted to have a child. However they had past life traumatic experiences of childbearing. They held those experiences in their sacral and heart chakras. During their sessions with me, I walked them through the trauma and they were able to release the energy in their chakras. They conceived and had their children.  

During their sessions we went in and cut the cords from the sacral chakra to that lifetime and assisted with clearing the heartache in the heart chakra. 

All of us have energy cords. The cords are attached to past lives, other people we have relationships with.  
We throw those cords out or the cords are thrown out to us. 
Most people are unaware they are throwing cords out. 

What do these cords do to us?

When we allow the cords to accumulate, we will start feeling low energy. We will not follow through with our plans and often times give up on our goals.  This can also affect your health and well- being.

Here is an invocation that you can work with every day - I invite and invoke Archangel Michael to cut and cauterize all cords leading in and out of me, no longer serving me. I invite and invoke Archeia Faith to heal all my wounds. 

I work with a lot of different kinds of people and I have found clearing my energy field daily assists with clarity so I can do my work with ease and grace.

What do they look like?

The newer cords are gold. The older ones are tarnished gold. The tarnished ones you may need assistance with.  The cords may be attached to chakras or other parts of your body.  

I recommend Melinda Carver, she does an excellent cord cutting ceremony and she invokes Archangel Michael to assist. It is a beautiful ceremony. 

I also recommend soul retrieval, during that ceremony cords and energy from past lives will be cut.

After having this done you don’t want to call back that energy. You want to stay clear so if people start calling you, that make you feel out of sorts, don’t answer. You will also feel as though you are missing something. You might even mourn the loss. Allow it and let go of that energy. 

Give yourself at least 3 days to a week. for your energy field to balance out. 

Remember to set boundaries for yourself. You do not want to be a doormat. For example - I only embrace people I know or who I feel it is ok. I will shake hands with people. Most people I will not touch and I do not allow them to touch me.

Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing technique developed in Japan during the 1920’s by spiritual teacher Mikao Usui. 

Mikao went through a 21 day fast and meditation retreat on Japan’s sacred Mount Kurama. Mikao Usui experienced a profound spiritual awakening. He believed he had received the ability to channel universal life force. 

Mikao Usui founded his first clinic and school in Tokya in April 1922, establishing the Usui Reiki Healing method Society to teach his techniques.


Five Principles of Reiki:

Just for today, I will not be angry : Let go of frustration and resentment, which weigh down your mental and physical well-being.

Just for today, I will not worry : Release anxiety about the future to invite peace and trust into your current circumstances.

Just for today, I will be grateful : Appreciate your many blessings and the positive aspects of your life.

Just for today, I will do my work honestly: Apply diligence, integrity, and mindfulness to your daily tasks and self improvement. 

Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing : Practice deep compassion, starting with gentleness toward yourself and extending it to others. 


These five principles have helped me in my life. They remind me to be present, compassionate and understanding. 

I am a Reiki Master Teacher.

Here is the deal, Reiki is Universal Life Force. That is the energy that is all around and within us. Reiki has different affects for everyone.  

When you start learning about Reiki, you will learn about hand placements for self treatment, breathing, and a symbol to help you energize yourself.  That is Reiki I. See yourself as a vessel being filled with Universal Life Force. You are the vessel for this blessed energy that can change your life if you want it too. 

You can practice on yourself anytime. I recommend before you go to sleep every night. Keep a journal to keep track of how you live your life. 

Follow the 5 Principles of Reiki, look at them everyday and practice one a day. Keep practicing.  The principles will help you with living life to its fullest.  

After you have practice an notice the differences in your life and want to move forward in your Reiki education, move onto


Reiki II. 

Reiki II will open you up to treating others in person and through distance. Yes there are new hand placements for you to learn and two new symbols to learn for your sessions.  Reiki II opens you up more to absorb and pull in  Universal Life Force. See yourself as a vessel being filled with Universal Life Force.  You are the vessel for this blessed energy that can change your life if you want it too. 


Reiki III

Reiki III opens you for more energy to move through you all around you. Reiki III will give you peace, help with your presence and self love.  You are the vessel filled with Universal Life Force. You are the vessel for this blessed energy that can change your life if you want it too.  You will have two more symbols to memorize for your practice. 

Becoming a Reiki Master Teacher is a great way to share your experiences, and teach other practitioners how to do attunements. How to use Reiki to help others. The attunements can be given for healing and also as a last rite to help people to pass through the veils with grace. 

Each time you are attuned to Reiki, healing happens from within. You will start to see and feel deeply. You break free of habits no longer serving you and start truly caring for yourself and others. 

Reiki introduced me to learning about the chakra system and how it affects us.  It helped with my confidence while working with my clients. 

I encourage people to learn and receive Reiki I.  Reiki I can help with self healing, mind, body, spirit.  Children can receive Reiki I as well and be taught hand placements and the symbol that goes with Reiki I to assist themselves. 

Animals love energy work. For those of you who have animals and are attuned to Reiki, work with your animals. Most animals are great healers. Look how much caring for animals helps you. 

You can also use Reiki to bless your food & drinks.

                                           Demeter & Persephone
First let me give you some background information about the Greek Gods so you understand the dynamics. 

Zeus, is king of the gods, he is married to Hera, who is his older sister. 

Demeter is also Zeus older sister. There are a couple of stories about what happened between Zeus and Demeter and how she conceived Persephone.  Demeter while pregnant with Persephone hid herself away from all the gods specifically Zeus. 

Demeter and Persephone spent most of their time together as she matured. The earth flourished, therefor the humans who worshipped the gods also flourished. Everyone is happy! 

Persephone was kidnapped by Hades to become his wife and queen of the underworld. Zeus made a deal with Hades behind Demeter and Persephone’s back.  Which enraged Demeter. She scorched the earth, literally looking for her daughter. With the help of Hecate, Goddess of Magic, Demeter found out where her daughter Persephone was. 
Finally Zeus, afraid Demeter would take out the earth, he decided to communicate with Demeter. Communication was not his special skill. Zeus was a bully and cheater. 

After a lot of back and forth negotiations, mostly because Persephone ate six pomegranate seeds while in the underworld, Persephone was freed to live on earth for six months. Those six months of course are spring and summer, it is a sacred time of growth, abundance, celebration and beauty. 

In ancient Greece, summer solstice was closely connected to the myth of Demeter and Persephone. The summer solstice marked the radiant reunion of the mother and daughter.  The peak of the earth’s agricultural abundance, celebrated through the secretive, women only festivals honoring fertility and protect the earth’s moisture from the scorching sun.

                                        Secretive Celebration - Exclusively for Women

Scirophoria occurred just days before the summer solstice. This festival was dedicated to Athena, Demeter, and Persephone. Priestesses carried sacred white parasols (skiron) to symbolically shield the fertility of the earth from the destructive baking heat of the summer sun god, Helios. 

Demeter cults held specific sacred right for women, closely guarded by women and never written down for public consumption.  This is why we do not know what the woman did during these sacred days. 

Persephone’s return to the earth align’s with the explosion of summer’s bloom. The solstice represents the joy of Demeter having her daughter home, ensuring the wheat and the human's souls evolution toward Elysium.  

Modern Pagan and Wiccan traditions, the summer solstice, Litha, occurs June 20-21. 

The solstice represents the zenith of Helio's (sun) and Demeter allowing the grain to fully ripen.
Persephone returns to the lush state of the earth. 
The modern ritual is to honor Demeter and Persephone by decorating with sunflowers, baking breads, lighting bonfires, and performing rituals centered around growth and the divine feminine. 

Here are some modern ways to celebrate:

Build an altar dedicated to Demeter and Persephone, featuring early summer offerings like fresh grains, pomegranates, and blooming flowers or plants. 
You can practice fire magic by lighting a candle or a small bonfire at twilight to celebrate the sun’s power, meditating on cycles of growth, metamorphosis and transformation.
Bake a loaf of bread or cake using local seasonal ingredients to honor Demeter, goddess of the harvest. 

                          Let me introduce you to other Summer Solstice Goddesses 

Amaterasu - Japanese The supreme Shinto goddess of the sun and the universe, highly revered for her life giving and central to mid year celebrations

Sulis Minerva - Celtic/Roman fierce sun and healing goddess. She was worshipped at the sacred hot springs in Bath, England where the thermal waters embody the warmth of the sun. 

Saule - Baltic  The supreme solar mother goddess in Latvian and Lithuanian mythology. Her festivals involve rising before dawn to watch the sun dance  picking wildflowers and leaping over bonfires. 

Aine - Irish- is the Celtic Feasrie queen and goddess of summer and the sun. She is celebrated to banish evil spirits and protect the crops. 

Sekhmet is the Egyptian fierce solar goddess of fire, healing and transformation, honored during the solstice when the sun reaches its most powerful intensity.

Vesta is the Roman goddess of hearth and home. The ancient Romans honored her during the summer solstice festival of Vestalia which culminated with the cleansing of her temple. 

Sunna or Sol is a Norse goddess who personified the sun who drives the golden chariot of the sun across the sky every day, providing healing and light.

The Victorian era or the Industrial Revolution from 1837-1901 transformed the world. The Victorians are famous for their strict social etiquette and emphasis on religious morality, which resulted in a highly conservative, puritanical or prudish culture. 

On the other hand, this era brought us culture, landscape design, literature, art. Through landscape design this era taught us more about nature and how to mold it esthetically. Natural history and botany was an obsession during this time period.

Floriography, 'the language of flowers' became popular during the Victorian era. All flowers had meanings, flowers given during this time always carried a message. Deciphering the messages of bouquets became a parlor game played by ladies. Floriography has become popular again and it is a fun way to see how people feel about each other by the flowers they give. 

Honeysuckle 

Honeysuckle is a vigorous, fragrant climber found in woodlands, on the edges of forests and on heathland. The petals, reddish outside and white inside, turn yellow on pollination.  Flowering from June- August.

According to Bach Flower Remedies, honeysuckle touches on the principle of capacity for change and ability to move forward without looking back. We do not want to be Lot’s wife in the bible, being warned not to look back, keep her eyes forward. She glanced back and turned into a pillar of salt. 

Bach wrote - This is the remedy to remove from the mind the regrets and sorrows of the past, to counteract all influences, all wishes and desires of the past and to bring us back to the present. 

Honeysuckle reminds us we do not have to look back to utilize our lessons learned, honeysuckle reminds us to be present, listen to our spirit guides and angels guidance. 

According to Victorian Floriography giving honeysuckle plants or flowers is a show of devotion and affection.  Sleeping with honeysuckle flowers under your pillow will bring dreams of your true love.  This belief came from the character Tatiana in Shakespeare’s Midsummer nights Dream. Tatiana compares her sleep with Bottom to the way a sweet honeysuckle encircles a bark elm: ’Sleep thou and I will wind thee in my arms . . . So doth the woodbine the sweet honeysuckle . . . 

During the Victorian era there were strict social customs dictated that young women were not permitted to bring the flowers into their homes. It was heavily believed that the plants sweet, enticing scent would cause them to have ‘suggestive’ or overly passionate dreams.  
Would you try putting honeysuckle flowers under your pillow? 

Roses - Love

During the Victorian era, the rose was profoundly connected to floriography, the language of flowers. During this era there were strict societal rules discouraged open displays of affection, Victorians used carefully selected rose colors and bouquets  as secret, coded letters to express unspoken romantic and platonic sentiments. 

Sending Roses

Red Roses is the ultimate declaration of passionate love, romance and deep devotion
White Roses symbolized purity, innocence, secrecy and virtue
Pink Roses convey grace admiration and gratitude
Dark Crimson roses are used to express mourning or deep sorrow. 

Victorians created two traditions connected to Floral Traditions

Aussie-Mussies were hand held posies or nose gays, composed of specific roses and herbs to send clandestine messages

Exchanging floral dictionaries and decoding the meanings behind bouquets became a popular, genteel social pastime and parlor game.

Greek mythology, Chloris, the goddess of flowers, found a lifeless nymph and transformed her into a flower so beautiful  the gods made her the ‘Queen of Flowers’. Aphrodite named it the ‘rose’ in honor of her son, Eros. 

I encourage you to use rose spray in your home, the scent of rose is the scent of Love. 

Rock Roses 
According to the Victorians if you sent Rock roses to someone the message symbolized favor and being cherished for who you are. 

Rock roses with their paper thin petals thrive in extreme heat, drought, and poor quality soils. Rock roses represent resilience and adaptability. I love rock roses, they are so pretty and they can be grown anywhere. Several Rock Rose or Wild Rose bushes grew around my home in Colorado. I used to harvest the rose hips, for my family. We ate them, you can use them in tea and cooking. Rose hips are great for your health. 

Bach Flower Remedy

Rock roses relate to the soul qualities of courage and steadfastness. It is one of the most important components of rescue remedy.

Rescue Remedy is a blend of five flowers to help relieve every day stress, tension and calm nerves.

Ingredients to help aleviate 
Rock Roses -  Terror & Panic
Impatiens - irritability & impatience
Clematis - inattentiveness & not being grounded
Star of Bethlehem - to ease trauma or shock
Cherry Plum - to calm the fear of losing control or irrational thoughts. 

I used to use Rescue Remedy and I feel like it helped me during stressful events.

Tonight we are going to learn more about Alexandrite, Pearls, Moonstone, Labradorite. For reference I am using Crystals - Jenny Harding & The Gem Shop website. I am leaving the links in the show notes tomorrow. 

I love crystals. I have a beautiful collection, I love going to Gem & Mineral shows and I encourage you to find shows in your area. The local clubs host workshops and when available field trips. It’s always good to know what minerals and gems are mined locally and how to care for them. 

I am always learning new information or seeing new specimens.

Alexandrite is a unique color changing stone discovered by Nils Gustaf Nordenskjold, he was the first to formally publish the scientific description chrysoberyl under the name ‘Alexandrite’.

Cultured pearls are rare and expensive. Please see a specialist.

Greek & Roman myth on Pearls are described as the tears of joy shed by the Goddess of love Aphrodite or Venus. The story is that Venus emerged from sea foam, both cultures viewed pearls as emblems of beauty, love and marital harmony. ​

Connecting to Venus

Venus Box - The Venus Box is a representation of love and beauty created to bring those virtues to you.  I have worked on my Venus box over the years, adding charms or shells, painting it.

The key to the Venus box magic is the little mirror and what you put in the box. I have rose quartz, citrine, selenite, quartz crystals and a metal charm that says; 'May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back, May the sun always shine on your face.'   I placed these crystals and the charm in the box for myself, rose quartz for love, citrine for happiness and prosperity, selenite for cleansing and clarity, quartz crystal to amplify the energy and the charm, because I like the message.

You can put what resonates with you in your box. 

The mirror is in the box is to double down the intention for love, beauty and harmony. Venus Boxes are personal, your box will look different than mine because we are different. Spend time with it, the intention is to bring love, beauty and harmony into your life. 

Moonstone

Moonstone us an ethereal gemstone renown for its opalescent glow, adularescence that mimics moonlight. Across millennia, cultures world wide have associated the stone with lunar magic, the sacred feminine, and divine protection. 

Color: white, cream, yellow base with white, blue, gold or gray sheens. 

Geography; Australia, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, USA

Ancient Asians believed a living spirit resided inside the stone and would hang them from fruit trees to ensure an abundant harvest.

Labradorite

Color: dull blue green, with a mostly iridescence blue sheen when turned in the light, also orange, green violet, rainbow iridescence is found in its specimens called spectrolite.

According to an ancient Inuit legend, the Northern Lights were once trapped in the rocks along the coast of Labrador, Canada. An ancestral warrior struck the stones with his spear, freezing the lights into the sky - but a portion of the Aurora’s magic remained permanently trapped within the stones. 

In Scandinavian mythology, labradorite is associated with the Bifrost Bridge, a shimmering rainbow path that connected Earth to Asgard, the realm of the gods. 

'The Shaman’s Stone' Because of its otherworldly flash, ancient Druid and indigenous shamans considered labradorite a highly magical protective stone. It is believed to facilitate travel between physical and spiritual realms.

June - A little bit of Astrology & Hope!
In 2026, the Venus in Leo transit brings a bold, highly expressive energy that favors grand romantic gestures, confidence, and vibrant creativity. Venus transits Leo in two distinct waves this year: June 13 to July 4, and again in the late fall

June 13 Venus enters the fiery, playful sign of Leo, encouraging you to ‘shine, create and be adored’
June 28 Jupiter enters Leo, significantly amplifying the energetic, of this transit

This period shifts the collective focus toward romance, self-worth, and social recognition. While the vibe is loud and fun, you might notice a tendency to seek external validation, or experience temporary ego clashes in relationships. It is an excellent time to embrace your personal magnetism, update your look, and romanticize your life

Focus Objects

Scrying is an ancient divination practice that involves gazing into a reflective luminous, or shadowy surface to enter a light trance and receive intuitive visions. 

The history of Scrying is interwoven with that of ancient civilizations, where it was practiced as a means to connect with the divine or to seek guidance from supernatural forces. One of the earliest known mentions of scrying can be traced back to ancient Mesopotamia. 

People scry for personal insight, clarity on future choices, or to connect with their subconscious. 

You can scry using almost any tool that allows the eyes to soften and the mind to focus. 


Water (Hydromancy) Gazing into a bowl of still water or natural body of water. 
Mirrors - Using specialized black obsidian mirrors or standard reflective glass
Crystals staring deep into the depths of a quartz crystal sphere
Fire - watching the shapes and embers of a flame


Make sure when you begin scrying to create a quiet sacred space and choose your focus object.  Take a breath, relax and ask to see for your highest good. Gaze into your object, do not stare. Relax. 

Allow your intuition to flow through you, do not dismiss any information you receive through -  

Claircognizance - clear thinking
Clairaudience - clear hearing
Clairvoyance - clear seeing 


Allow the information to flow through you.  Write down the information you receive, even if it is a color, for example. Each time you scry with your focus object, you bond, it becomes an  extension of you. Keep working with it. 

My focus object is an aquamarine obelisk that I hold during intuitive readings. For me just holding it helps me focus, it reminds me to look deeply for my clients. If you feel like your focus object is something you want to hold while you are receiving information, try it, see if it works. There are some people who do not feel comfortable with gazing into a mirrors image. That's okay, you choose what you feel is comfortable. 

There are not certain ways you 'have to' use your intuition. What I write in these blogs are handy tips to help you. Try them, see what you think. If it works for you, great! If it doesn't work for you, great! This is your journey. I share what has works for me.

Metamorphosis is the most common aspect associated with all insects and many arachnids. There are great myths about insects and how they give us messages or signs from our spirit guides and angels. 

I asked you what insects you want me to talk about. I will talk about those insects and more. I laughed when someone asked me to talk about cockroaches, mosquitos, ticks etc.  This is going to be a fun show! 

Ants - Industrious, Order and Discipline

Ants are highly social insects. They live in organized colonies divided into castes - queens, males, and workers.

Ants teach us to to work for the common good, to build from the ground up - no short cuts.  Ants teach us about organization and working in unity with our community. 

If you do not want ants in your home. These are natural deterrents, ants don’t like peppermint oil, vinegar citrus and cinnamon. 

Make sure to keep your counters wiped down. Store your food in airtight containers and take your trash out of the house.  I put peppermint oil in my trash can in the house. 

Cockroaches -  Adaptability
 
Cockroaches are absolutely not my favorite bug. I lived in Hawaii for several years. The roaches in Hawaii are huge and sound like helicopters, they fly. So when I read the virtue, I was surprised and weirded out. 

Here is the message  from Cockroach - Be adaptable and sensitive to subtle changes. Adaptability essential in all environments now. Be flexible and adapt to outside pressures. 

Here are natural ways of keeping cockroaches away peppermint oil - 10-18 drops of peppermint on a spray bottle. Spray it around the house, baseboards, dark corners.

Eucalyptus and Rosemary - These two scents are toxic and lethal to certain cockroach nymphs at higher concentration. Vinegar erases the invisible scent trails roaches leave behind to find food. 

Grasshopper - Make Leaps - 

I had a beautiful garden when I lived in Colorado. I grew veggies and flowers. I tried for several years to grow a french lettuce garden. Almost every year, I could hear the grasshoppers eating all my lettuce! I did all kinds of stuff to get rid of them. Including going out in the garden with my shovel and ending them.

Here is the message from the grasshoppers - Have Faith. New leaps of happiness are coming. Refusing to move creates problems. 

Neem Oil - an organic pesticide pressed from the seeds of the neem tree. Spray it on your plants, it disrupts the grasshoppers growth cycle and is a strong natural feeding deterrent. 
 
Diatomaceous Earth - Spring food grade DE around your plant bases. When grasshoppers walk through it - it causes dehydration sucking the life out of them.
 
Mosquitos - Self Worth 

Here is another insect that is not my favorite - how about you? 

Here is the message for Mosquitos - Protect yourself against attacks on your self worth. Focus on personal joys.

Spider - Weaving Fate

I tell all the spiders living in my house they have a job, which is to keep other bugs out of the house.  If I see a poisonous spider, I take it outside. 

Myth - Greek
Arachne a renown weaver, boasts she is a better weaver than the Goddess Athena! Challenging Athena to a contest. Arachne wove a tapestry depicting the infidelities of the Olympian  Gods while Athena depicted her victory over Poseidon that earned her the patronage of Athens.  Athena acknowledged Arachne’s work. Athena was enraged by the Arachne’s offense, she destroyed Arachne’s tapestry and loom. Arachne overcome with shame and despair tried to hang herself. Athena took pity on her and transformed Arachne into a spider, sprinkling her with magical liquid. Arachne, as a spider who weaves her  webs. 

Here is the message from the spider - Don’t take the round about way - be straight. Weave something new. Trust feeling, rather than seeing. 

Spiders hate strong, sharp, natural fragrances. peppermint, citrus, eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender.

Ticks -  Unbalanced Relationships

Ticks suck, literally! Ugh! 

Here is message - Relationship(s) is unbalanced. Others may be taking advantage. Examine what is affecting your own vitality. 

Ticks are most deterred by Permethrin for clothing and EPA - registered insect repellants - Deet or Picaridin - for skin. They absolutely hate the scents of clove, cedar, thyme and eucalyptus.

Dragonfly - Time to Shine

Having dragonflies in your yard is highly beneficial. They act as a natural pest control system, eating hundreds of mosquitos, gnats, and flies every day. They are completely harmless to humans and a sign of a healthy ecosystem.  

How to invite dragonflies into your yard - 

Water features - bird baths, ponds, water garden
Perching Spots - tall plants, twigs, garden stakes,
Plants - add plants like Joe Pie weed, swamp milk weed, black eyed susans, water lillies

Message from Dragonfly - Trust in the power of your light and your perception to succeed. Efforts are maturing. Spiritual path is ahead. 

Firefly/ Lightening bug - inspiration

East Asian Lore - Souls of the Fallen- In Japanese folklore, fireflies are widely believed to be the wandering souls of fallen warriors. 

Guides to the afterlife. Fireflies are often viewed as lost spirits lighting the way to reincarnation

The firefly loves environments providing high humidity, moisture, and dense vegetative cover. To attract and support them, they require damp soil, rotting wood or leaf litter for nesting, native grasses for shelter, dark nights to flash and an environment free chemical pesticides.

Message from firefly; keep your hope strong, New inspiration is awakening. Trust your own rhythms. Hope is critical to fulfillment and accomplishment. 

Ladybug - Wish fulfilled

Ladybug message for you - Wish will be fulfilled soon. Do not push too hard or it will be delayed. Allow efforts to unfold and manifest in the best time.

Ladybugs are brilliant garden protectors that can consume up to 5,000 aphids in a lifetime. They have a fascinating array of survival traits - including winged flight speeds up to mph and foul smelling defense mechanisms. 

Ladybugs are primarily attracted to warmth, shelter, overwintering sites. Ladybugs like homes with heavy vegetation, garden or trees infested with aphids.

Praying Mantis  - Stillness

Praying Mantis can turn their heads 180 degrees.  They are the only insects capable of turning their heads a full half circle. This unique adaptation combined with their elongated thorax, allows them to track passing prey without having to move the rest of their body and risk losing their camouflage. 

Message from Praying Mantis - Be patient for success, Be alert to opportunities and to dangers. Develop stillness and trust in your instinct & intuitive abilities

Snail - Vulnerability 

Snails like shaded, wet, forested areas. They can be destructive. I move snails to ferns or shaded areas. Snails carry their homes on their backs. They come in many different sizes. I have a container full of giant snail shells, I am eventually going to do something with them. They are very beautiful. 

This is the message from snail - Protect your vulnerability and spirits. Let your inner child out of your shell! Go crazy and have fun! Just like a child, swing on swings, slide down the slide, fly a kite, allow that inner child to play.

​Energy of Birds helps us understand freedom and transcendence, their ability to soar above the earth connects them with the heavens, encouraging you to rise above limitations and gain a higher perspective.  Birds are divine messengers asking us to look, hear, feel, beyond our physical realm. They encourage us to connect to our angels, spirit guides, and our Creator. They teach us to trust our vision and intuition. Let’s see how some of our favorite birds help us. 

Bluebirds - Modesty, Confidence, happiness

Bluebirds remind us we are born to happiness and fulfillment. When bluebirds show up in our lives they remind us it to take time to enjoy ourselves. 

Bluebirds are becoming rare -  They like shallow birdbaths with a bubbler or dripper. 

To draw them into your yard, consider placing bluebird nest boxes 3-7 feet off the ground in open areas. You can also provide supplemental food like mealworms or suet.  

Cardinal - Renewed Vitality through Recognizing Self- Importance 

When Cardinals show up in our lives it is a sign to reflect on renewal and vitality. Take time to breathe, be present, be you. 

Cardinal habitat - they don’t migrate

Cardinals are highly adaptable in places that offer dense cover and easily accessible food.  To draw them into your yards, Cardinals like building nests hidden by dense foliage. Dogwood, cedar, pines. Hang bird feeders.

Blue Jay - The proper use of power

Blue Jays teach us discernment. They teach us to take in a situation and resolve it with grace. That is true power.

Blue Jay’s like mixed and deciduous woodlands, especially those with oak and beech trees. Blue Jays thrive in suburban neighborhoods, parks, and forest edges. 

Eagle - Illumination of Spirit, Healing and Creation

Eagle habitats depend largely on access to abundant food and secluded, undisturbed terrain. Nesting on old growth and mature trees or sheer cliffs, bluffs and rocky outcrops. 

Eagles encourage us to look at our lives from a new perspective, to take a different path, trust yourself and your intuition. 

Finch - Energy and Activity

If finches are showing up in your life, greater opportunities are being presented to you.

Finches are highly adaptable songbirds that thrive in diverse environments, from deserts, woodlands to busy urban neighborhoods. Finches forage for seeds, fruits. Pet finches require secure,  draft free indoor enclosures kept at moderate temperatures. 

Hawk - Visionary Power and Guardianship

I understand there are different kinds of hawks. I am going to talk about the basics of their environment. If you want to learn more about Hawks check out Animal Speaks book.
Hawks are incredibly adaptable  birds. They thrive in woodland edges where they have access to dense trees for nesting and open fields, deserts, or grasslands for hunting. 

If hawks are showing up for you understand your guardian angels are helping to protect you, be patient, present and observant for signs you are making the best decisions for yourself.  

Owl - Magic, Omens, Wisdom, Spirits

I understand there are many kinds of owls. I am going to talk about the basics of their environment. If you want to learn more about the different owls Check out the Animal Speaks book.

Owls are highly adaptable predators. Owls require areas that provide abundant prey, small animals or insects and suitable sites for roosting and nesting. I am always glad to hear owls hooting, that means the rodent population is low. 

If an owl is showing up or you can hear its hooting call you are being reminded to remember your dreams, follow your intuition and act on that guidance to create wise decisions.

Peacock - Watchfulness, Protection
Peacocks live in lowland forests, scrublands, and agricultural areas, open ground, fresh water, and tall trees for roosting.  Peacocks are highly adaptable, they thrive in warm, semi-arid regions. 

In Greek mythology, Argus, a watchman, for the Goddess Hera, had a hundred eyes. When he fell asleep during his duty and was killed, Hera placed his eyes in the peacock- her favorite bird. 

There is mythology for the peacock is connected with many cultures. 
Peacocks remind us protection comes through psychic, clairvoyant perceptions and spiritual hygiene. 

Penguins - Follow Your Dreams - Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection

Penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere, their habitats vary from icy Antarctic tundras to temperate rocky coasts and tropical islands near the equator. 

Penguins teach us to follow spirit guidance in our dreams. They remind us to keep dream journals, they help us to truly follow our dreams. 

Robin - New Growth

Robins require short grass areas for foraging earthworms and insects. Dense trees or shrubs for nesting, they line their nests with mud to glue the nest together. Put a bird bath in your yard, they like fresh water. 

If robins show up in your life, they are asking you to follow that creative inspirations, expand and grow. 

Wren - Resourceful & Boldness

Wrens love heavy, low-lying vegetation like briar patches, brush piles, decaying logs.  They like nesting in old woodpecker holes, rock crevices or dense tangles of vines. Wrens eat bugs.  

If a wren shows up their message for you is to keep your focus on the big picture.  Be resourceful, remember sometimes our path is not always the ordinary one. Be bold!

Julia Ward Howe wrote the Battle Hymn of the Republic after she met Abraham Lincoln at the White House in November 1861. She was a suffragette, creating New England Woman’s Club and New England Woman Suffrage Association. In 1869, she became co-leader with Lucy Stone of the American Woman Suffrage Association. 

Julia Ward Howe, spoke about Unity and Peace. That was her message. As mothers we are the peacemakers, the nurturers, we work to create a harmonious atmosphere at home.  Today is our day to celebrate the women who raised us and no matter what loved us! 

Following the Civil War, poet Julia Ward Howe issued a "Mother's Day Proclamation" in 1870, calling for women to unite for peace. - 

‘Arise, then... women of this day!

Arise, all women who have hearts, whether our baptism be that of water or of tears! 

Say firmly: We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies. Our husbands shall not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caresses and applause. Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience. We, women of one country, will be too tender of those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.

From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes up with our own. It says: Disarm, Disarm! The sword of murder is not the balance of justice. Blood does not wipe out dishonor, nor violence vindicate possession. As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil at the summons of war, let women now leave all that may be left of home for a great and earnest day of council.

Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead. Let them then solemnly take council with each other as to the means whereby the great human family can live in peace, each bearing after his own kind the sacred impress, not of Caesar, but of God.
