Acupuncture
The practice of Acupuncture began in ancient China over 3,000 years ago. It is rooted in the philosophy of balance and the flow of life energy, or Qi. Early healers used sharp stones and bones before moving to metal needles, guided by foundational texts like The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine.

Acupuncture is Traditional Chinese Medicine practice. It works by inserting thin needles into specific body points (meridians) to balance the body's energy flow, known as Qi. Key principles focus on unblocking Qi to restore balance, treating root causes rather than just symptoms, and stimulating the nervous system to release endorphins for pain relief.

What are meridians?

The meridian system in traditional Chinese medicine is a network of pathways where life-energy known as Qi, flows through the body, connecting major organs and vital points.

Acupuncture stimulates your nervous system, releases natural painkillers, and improves blood flow. It uses thin needles to help reduce pain, relax muscles, and lower stress
Triggers your brain and spinal cord to release natural pain-fighting chemicals.
Changes how your nerves send pain messages to your brain.
Lowers swelling and calms irritated tissues

Blood Flow and Healing
Opens up blood vessels around the needle site.

Brings fresh blood and oxygen to speed up cell repair.
Eases tension in muscles, tendons, and ligaments

Stress and Mood Regulation

Shifts your nervous system from "fight-or-flight" into a restful state.

Influences brain hormones like serotonin and dopamine to improve your mood

What to Expect During Treatment:
A practitioner uses 3 to 15 thin, sterile needles per session, which usually lasts about 20–30 minutes.
Needles are sometimes stimulated with heat or light electrical current (electroacupuncture).
Patients often feel a mild aching or tingling sensation, rather than pain, during insertion.

You will receive after care instructions.

The four golden rules of classical acupuncture are foundational lifestyle habits:
Eat only when hungry,
Drink only when thirsty,
Take rest when tired,
Sleep early.

These principles come from ancient Chinese medicine and help the body stay in natural balance.

Acupressure

Self Accupressure use firm pressure with your thumb or finger until you feel a mild, dull ache, but stop if it turns into a sharp pain
Move in circles to gently massage the point in slow, small clockwise or counter clockwise circles.
Keep steady pressure on the spot of 30 seconds to 2 minutes, then slowly release
Repeat the motions 3-5 times, or switch to the other side of your body.
Be gentle, avoid pushing hard enough to cause bruising or lasting soreness.

Acupressure can help with support lymphatic drainage by reducing swelling, improving limb function, and easing fluid build up. While manual lymphatic drainage uses specific directional skin strokes, acupressure targets precise points on the body’s medians to stimulating circulation and fluid movement.

Pressure on specific points helps squeeze fluid through vessels, similar to clearing a blocked pathway.

Studies show it can help manage conditions like lymphedema and localized puffiness.

It helps lower inflammatory factors and manage heavy or tight feelings in the limbs

Safety Tips
Use light pressure: Never press hard enough to cause pain or bruising.

Avoid damaged skin: Do not press on open wounds, rashes, or active infections.

Stay hydrated: Drink water after your session to help flush waste.

You have asked how you can help yourself whether it is headaches, stomach or intestine issues or if you have chronic pain. Acupuncture and acupressure can help you with this. Acupressure has helped me with headaches.

Have a wonderful week! Stay safe! Keep your heart open and aligned with the energy of LOVE!
