Beltane is known as May Day, celebrating the height if spring  and the fertility of nature. It is also a fire festival with rituals  of bonfires, dancing, and wearing flower wreaths.

Dancing around a Maypole, decorated with ribbons, flowers, and ornaments. The dance symbolizes the union of masculine and feminine energies and  is believed to bring fertility and prosperity.

Leaving flower crowns and decorating with floral garlands is a way to honor the abundance of nature.

Leaving small offerings, like honey or cream, at the base of a tree is believed to honor the Fae, who are thought to be particularly active during Beltane.
